The Andover Fish and Game Club

The Andover Fish and Game Club was established in 1933 and now operates as a non-profit organization run by volunteers. The primary goal of the Club is to help our local youths enjoy and appreciate the outdoors through education on outdoor sports and skills.

Each spring the Club sponsors a trout fishing derby on Highland Lake for the ages 15 and under. We purchase a minimum of 250 trout that the NH Fish and Game matches with a like amount. In the winter we also sponsor a kids' ice fishing derby with all the tackle and bait provided by the Club. Trophies and numerous prizes are awarded to many of the children at both events.

The Fish and Game Club also raises funds to provide two or three children each year an opportunity to attend the Barry Conservation Camp in Milan, NH during the summer. The camp educates youths on the outdoors and activities like camping, hunting, and fishing.
